About Cintas Center

Cintas Center

The Cintas Center is a sports and entertainment venue located on the campus of Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. It opened in 2000 and is the home court of the Xavier Musketeers basketball team. Since it opened, the Musketeers have won over 85% of their games at the Cintas Center, making it one of the toughest arenas in the country for visiting teams. At the same time, the Cintas Center also serves as a venue for concerts and other events, including Xavier’s commencement. Over the years, the likes of Bob Dylan, Jimmy Fallon, Dave Chappelle, Jason Mraz, Guster, and countless others have performed at the Cintas Center. The Cintas Center has a capacity of over 10,000 fans.

Where are the Best Places to Sit at the Cintas Center

For basketball games at the Cintas Center, sections 109 and 110 are the best places to sit, as these sections are located right in the middle of the court. Sections 211 and 212 are also close to the center of the court, albeit from a higher elevation. Also, sections 105 and 107 are located behind the Xavier bench, closer to the end of the court, while sections 111 and 113 are on the other end, behind the visiting team’s bench.

Tips for Visiting the Cintas Center

The neighborhood surrounding the Cintas Center and the University Station development has continued to improve over the years, giving fans a lot of places to eat, drink, and shop before and after games. It’s also not a bad idea to walk around the Xavier campus if you have a little time before a game. Also, you can’t go wrong with arriving at the Cintas Center to visit the Xavier Hall of Fame on the concourse or just soak up the atmosphere inside the arena, especially if there is a rivalry game or a top-25 opponent. The facilities have been improved over time, and the sight lines are excellent, so there is value in getting to the arena early.

Food to Try at the Cintas Center

The food and beverage selection at the Cintas Center has improved dramatically in recent years, especially the craft beer section. However, the must-eat item is still the Prime Time Player, which is smoked sausage and pulled pork topped with locally-made barbecue sauce and fried onions. Standard food options like pizza and hot dogs are also available, but if you don’t eat before the game, the Prime Time Player is the best option.
