About Rebel

Rebel

Rebel is a popular nightclub and concert venue in Toronto, Ontario. The venue first opened in 1996 when it was known as the Docks Nightclub & Concert Theater because of its location on Polson Pier. Its location gives Rebel a view of both the water and the Toronto skyline. Following a renovation in 2016, Rebel has four separate rooms: The Main Room, the Purple Room, City Bar, and Noir. The entire venue can accommodate up to 3,700 people at one time, while concerts at Rebel have a capacity of 2,500 people.

Where are the Best Places to Sit at Rebel

All tickets for shows at Rebel are general admission, most being floor seats, although tables and chairs can be set up on the floor for some events. But for concerts, most guests end up on the floor. There is also a balcony that provides a view of the stage, but this is also general admission. That means guests with tickets to the floor or balcony should arrive early if they want to get their preferred viewing spot of the stage.

Tips for Visiting Rebel

As a more luxurious nightclub and entertainment venue, there is some semblance of a dress code at Rebel. Guests should avoid wearing shorts, athletic wear, hats, and baggy clothing. There are no bags or satchels allowed either, although there is a coat check available. There is also limited public transportation available to get to Rebel because it’s somewhat separated from downtown Toronto. However, it is close to other attractions, including a driving range and a drive-in movie theater.

Food to Try at Rebel

Visitors who are interested in eating while at Rebel can reserve a table at the Cabana Waterfront Patio, which offers bottle service and high-end food options. The Cherry Street Bar-B-Que and the Keating Channel Pub & Grill are also a short walk away from Rebel, offering slightly more casual and affordable dining options prior to an event at Rebel.
