About Sloan Park

Sloan Park

Mesa, Arizona, one of the biggest suburbs of nearby Phoenix, has lots to offer visitors. It’s the largest suburban city by population in the US, and it’s got everything you could ever want – including Sloan Park, one of the best and newest baseball parks in the country. This 15,000-seat stadium is the largest out of all the MLB’s spring training facilities by some 2,000 seats, offering a premium gameday experience that will leave you breathless.

History of Sloan Park

Sloan Park is one of the newest kids on the block, as it threw its doors open to the public for the first time in 2014. That being said, even this brand-spanking-new park has gone through a name change in its short existence. When it first opened, it was actually known as Cubs Park, but in just one short year, it was renamed after the Sloan Valve Company purchased naming rights. Yes, the same company that makes toilets and urinals. Don’t ask – it wasn’t our idea!

What’s So Great About Sloan Park Events?

Sloan Park ball games are great because you get the authentic baseball experience in a cozy, intimate setting without feeling like you’re being squeezed into a too-small stadium. On top of that, the design of Sloan Park was specifically chosen to re-create the size and dimensions of Wrigley Field to give the Cubs a feel for their normal home turf. This means that a trip to Sloan Park is like a mini-vacation to Wrigley without having to use your Frequent Flyer Miles. That’s a pretty good deal!
