About Foo Fighters

Foo Fighters Tickets

Rising from the ashes of the cult grunge group Nirvana, the Foo Fighters have emerged on the music scene as a slow burn.  After the tragic loss of Kurt Cobain, drummer Dave Grohl set out as a one-man show and created the Foo Fighters to unleash the musical talent he held back from his previous group. The name Dave Grohl picked was something out of science fiction and history. Pulling the name Foo Fighters from historical records from the Allied aircraft pilots who witnessed strange and unusual aerial occurrences during World War II, Dave set out to make a name for himself.

The Spark

After the death of his close friend and lead singer of Nirvana, Dave stepped out into the light. He started recording the songs he wrote while he toured with Nirvana on his own. Playing all the instruments himself, Dave believed his music was finally worth sharing with the world. And so out of the ashes of tragedy, The Foo Fighters arose to stardom all from a spark that Dave carried with him his entire career. Finally, he was able to unleash music style without the intimidation from his former bandmates from Nirvana.

Like all bands traveling down the road to stardom, the path was rough and patchy at times for the Foo Fighters. Dave was listed as the only official member when the group debuted in 1995. Still, he pushed on to create one of the most well-known rock bands of our generation. Pulling inspiration from his former band, The Foo Fighters exploded on the scene and continued to rock with their hypnotic grunge sounds that blend melodic elements.

Burning Brighter

Just like a flare you see in the dead of night, the Foo Fighters continue to push the envelope of their musical talents.  Although the band has shifted members throughout the years, their songs continue to inspire and fuel their fans with the rock riffs that only Dave Grohl can produce. Today, they continue rocking sold-out shows all over the world and continue to be humbled by their adoring fans.

Unlike other bands, The Foo Fighters nurture the love from their fans by offering them shots on stage to perform with them. It doesn’t matter if they are rocking “Monkey Wrench” or “Learn to Fly” the band continues to wow audiences. But what else can you expect from a man that came from the beloved grunge group Nirvana? While there have been ups and downs along the way, from broken bones to flop records, Foo Fighters tickets are always in high demand.
