They're one of only two MLS teams to ever take home a CONCACAF tournament win.

Not only that, their 1998 Copa Interamericana win against Brazil’s Vasco da Gama means that DC United is the only MLS club to take home an intercontinental title. All of this success helped establish MLS as a force to be reckoned with – both at home and abroad – proving that US-based teams could compete internationally in a sport that has traditionally been thrived in Europe and South America.

The glory days of DC United might look like they’re over, but that would be selling this fantastic soccer club short.
